This 1790 Thaler from Freising represents ecclesiastical coinage issued during the final years of the Holy Roman Empire under Prince-Bishop Joseph Conrad von Schroffenberg. Freising, located in Bavaria, was an important ecclesiastical principality that maintained its own minting rights throughout the 18th century.
