The 1882-S Morgan Silver Dollar represents a classic issue from the San Francisco Mint during the height of silver dollar production in the 1880s. This coin was struck as part of the massive Morgan dollar series that began in 1878, designed by George T. Morgan following the passage of the Bland-Allison Act which required the government to purchase and coin large quantities of silver.

The obverse features Morgan's elegant portrait of Liberty in profile, with flowing hair and a coronet inscribed "LIBERTY," surrounded by thirteen stars and the date 1882. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with outstretched wings, clutching arrows and an olive branch, with "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "ONE DOLLAR" inscribed around the border, along with the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" above the eagle.

This exceptional example has been graded MS-67+ by NGC, indicating superb mint state preservation with outstanding eye appeal and minimal contact marks. The coin exhibits brilliant white luster with sharp strike details throughout both the obverse and reverse designs. Morgan dollars from the 1880s remain highly sought after by collectors for their historical significance and artistic beauty. The coin pictured is the exact coin you will receive.
