1885-O Morgan Silver Dollar NGC MS-65+

This beautiful 1885-O Morgan Silver Dollar was struck at the New Orleans Mint, a historic branch of the U.S. Mint that produced coinage from 1838 to 1909.
On the obverse, George T. Morgan’s iconic Liberty portrait appears, she is facing to the left wearing a Phrygian cap and “Liberty” inscribed on her hair band. The reverse displays a bold eagle with outstretched wings, clutching arrows and an olive branch, framed by a laurel wreath and the motto In God We Trust.
Certified by NGC in Mint State 65+, this coin offers radiant luster and exceptional strike quality. The “plus” designation highlights its superior preservation, placing it at the high end of the grade.
With over 9 million struck, only a fraction survives in gem condition, making high-grade New Orleans Morgans especially desirable. This is a prime example of America’s most collected silver dollar.
