The Liberty Head design, created by Christian Gobrecht in 1840, features a portrait of Lady Liberty encircled by 13 stars representing the first 13 colonies while the reverse depicts the famed Heraldic Eagle. $2 ½ Liberty Head Gold coins were struck at: Philadelphia, Charlotte, San Francisco, Dahlonega and New Orleans.
Each coin contains .12094 ounces of pure gold, they will have a range of dates. There are a total of 46 coins in the program with a combined mintage of 11,920,174. These coins have been slabbed and certified by PCGS/NGC in MS-62 condition.
