The United State Mint issued the country's first silver dollar in 1794 featuring a striking "Flowing Hair" design. 230 years later, the Flowing Hair Silver Dollar is a classic for its significance and beauty. Today, the US Mint is celebrating the 230th Anniversary of this famous issue by bringing it to its full potential with modern minting technology with the 2024 Flowing Hair Silver Medal.

Just 75,000 were struck in Philadelphia and they sold-out quickly. Each medal is over 1.5-inches in diameter and contain one ounce of 99.9% pure silver. With modern reproductions of the vintage designs, seeing the Flowing Hair features in pristine form is a true pleasure.

While they last, we're offering the 2024 Flowing Hair Silver Medals in their Original Government Packaging (OGP) which includes the Mint Display Box and Certificate of Authenticity. PCGS and NGC MS-70's are also available.
