In 1794, the United State Mint issued the country's first silver dollar which featured the Flowing Hair design. 230 years later, the Flowing Hair Silver Dollar is a classic for its significance and beauty and those few examples that have survived trade for well into the six-figures. In 2024, the US Mint is now celebrating the 230th Anniversary of this famous issue by bringing it to its full potential with modern minting technology with the highly anticipated release of the 2024 Flowing Hair Silver Medal.

Only 75,000 were struck in Philadelphia and they sold-out quickly. Each medal is over 1.5-inches in diameter and contain one ounce of 99.9% pure silver. Bearing modern reproductions of the vintage designs, it's impressive to see the Flowing Hair features in pristine form.
