The Saint Gaudens Double Eagles, produced from 1907 through 1933, are considered the most beautiful coin ever minted by the United States. Each piece is made of .9875 ounces of pure gold and has been certified by PCGS or NGC. The highest investment grades range from Mint State 63 to Mint State 66. At current levels, their premium over gold is presently quite low, providing investors and collectors a lot of value.
