The mintmark, if present, may be found towards the lower right hand corner of the reverse side below the eagle's tail feathers.

Peace Silver Dollars (opens in a new window)
Peace Silver Dollars were created from 1921 through 1935 by three different mints: Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco. On the obverse is Lady Liberty with an intriguing art-deco style, while the reverse features a perched eagle inscribed with the word "peace." The last year of production for the Morgan Dollar was 1878, and the famous "CC" mint mark was added to coins produced in that year. From silver found at the Comstock Lode, they're highly collectible and relatively easy to complete with just 13 distinct issues. Bust Silver Coins were the United States' first silver coins, and they continue to grow in popularity today. These rare silver coins are incredibly striking and beautiful. They were produced in five different denominations ranging from half-dimes to dollars with a coat of arms on the reverse. Lady Liberty is portrayed on the obverse, while a heraldic eagle was shown on the reverse. The series was discontinued around 1840 in favor of Seated Liberty designs, but you can still find them at Austin Rare Coins!
