US Silver Eagle – A Beautiful Coin
Every American Eagle Silver Dollar is a work of art, meticulously crafted to the precise standards of the United States Mint. The design on these silver eagle coins is based on Adolph A. Weinman’s familiar 1916 “Walking Liberty” half-dollar, widely considered one of the more beautiful American coins ever minted. Each U.S. Silver Eagle coin is marked with its date of issue and is struck with the infamous words “E Pluribus Unum,” and “In God We Trust.”
The American Silver Eagle Bullion Coins contain precious metals of 99.93% silver as required by law, and .07% copper.
The American Eagles Silver Bullion coins weigh in at 31.101 grams (One troy ounce = 31.1033 grams.) and has the face value of a dollar. The American Eagles Silver Dollars are the largest of the American Eagles coins issued by the US Mint.
The new US Mint American Eagles Silver Dollar has the design of Adolph A. Weinmans' Walking Liberty, originally used on the half dollar coins from 1916 through 1947. You'll find his initials on the hem of Miss Liberty's gown.
2021 marks both an end and a new beginning for Silver American Eagles. The original reverse design (Type 1) is being retired and replaced with a new designed American Eagle theme (Type 2). As the first ever reimagined design in the 35 years of the Silver Eagle series, this event was greatly anticipated.
Both 2021 versions have been in high demand and Silver American Eagles are consistently one of the most popular bullion silver coins in the world.
Smaller orders of 1-15 coins are delivered with each Eagle packaged in a “coin flip” – a clear, flexible, plastic envelope designed to enclose and protect individual coins.
Above 15 coins, we’ll generally use hard plastic “Mint Rolls” made by the US Mint to hold up to 20 Silver Eagles.
Large rectangular US "Mint Boxes", designed to hold 500 coins, are reserved for volume orders.
The U.S. Mint American Eagles Silver Coins are minted in Philadelphia and at the Bullion Depository in West Point, New York.
